What a pleasure to visit The Disabled Sailors Association on their Open day. Such a wonderful charity for Focus Foundation to be supporting. A grant for £14,120 has been approved for the building of a specialised dinghy that will give disabled people in Sussex the opportunity to sail independently and experience a sense of freedom that would otherwise be out of their reach.
This prototype dinghy has been specially designed and tested by the Disabled Sailors Association, they cannot sink or tip over, making them safe for even the most fair-weather sailor.
This is an amazing project and we look forward to seeing it come to life.
